On January 11, 2013, Professor Youmin gave a successful solution to the problem of high heterozygosity in non-model animals and took the lead to release the world’s first genome of diamondback moth. This has led to the successful establishment of Chinese coordinates in this frontier area. Thesis papers published in “Nature - Genetic” published, Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University laid the foundation for the diamondback moth genome research leading position in the field. It is reported that Plutella xylostella is an important pest of cruciferous vegetables and considered to be the most widely distributed worldwide pest. The annual cost of the diamondback moth in the world is as high as 4.0-5 billion U.S. dollars . Plutella xylostella is seriously endangered in the Yangtze River valley and the southern coast of our country, which has seriously affected the vegetable production and table security in our country, especially in Fujian Province. This result helps reduce pesticide use and protects the ring
