认知语言学是认知科学同语言学研究相结合而产生的一种新的语言学流派,而原型范畴理论是其重要理论之一。原型理论作为认知语言学的纲领性文件,对时态范畴的阐释有更强的解释力,二者的结合能促进人们对时态范畴的理解和把握。本文以一般现在时态为例,探索原型范畴理论在英语时态教学中的应用,运用原型范畴理论对一般现在时态各种用法之间的关系进行了分析,希望推动该理论在英语时态教学中的应用。
Cognitive linguistics is a new school of linguistics that is a combination of cognitive science and linguistic research. Prototype theory is one of its important theories. As a programmatic document of cognitive linguistics, archetypal theory has more explanatory power on the interpretation of temporal categories. The combination of the two can promote people’s understanding and grasp of temporal categories. This article, taking the general present tense as an example, explores the application of the theory of prototype category in the teaching of English tense and analyzes the relationship between various usages of the general present tense by using the prototype category theory, hoping to promote the theory’s application in English tense Teaching application.
