粤剧名称的英文翻译粤剧,有五种英文翻译。广东粤剧院的“粤”字,用 YUE 译音,此其一。有人将粤剧英译成:GUANGDONG OPERA,这不大准确,广东戏剧不等于粤剧。广东省不单有粤剧,同时有汉、潮及正字戏等多个剧种,此其二。中国(广州)出口商品交易会的“粤剧”晚会,英译名称是 GUANGZHOU OPERA,直译意是广州歌剧,此其三。第四,羊城国际粤剧节及新加坡国际粤剧节的英译是 CANTONES
