在20世纪80年代,改革开放伊始,女性书写率先成为代表,在英语世界搭起了一道桥,吸引西方读者走向中国。郑念、张戎、欣然、郭小橹、卫慧、虹影、刘宏等,打开了外国读者认识中国的新局面。然而,搜寻中国知网,正题研究“女性书写与翻译”的文章,只有寥寥几篇。这种性别研究的缺席,是很值得研究的现象。女性书写扣连着中国文化的社会记忆,与西方对中国典型印象(“她性化”)的社会记忆,也息息相关。把女性、书写、翻译、出版与阅读并置审视,不难看到跨时代、跨语言、跨文化的文本网络互动,形成集体潜意识与社会文化记忆,直接为我们了解当代中国与传统文化的传承,以及其与英语世界的联系,提供具体线索。回忆学(memory studies)的理论框架,可以为翻译学在自传体裁、互文性(intertextuality)、性别与记忆等领域的跨文化研究提供新的方向,而且帮助我们打破翻译就是原文与译文对比研究的单向思考。本文试图按照文化记忆与翻译研究的脉络(王建2012;罗选民20141),选取当代女性作家翻译文集、两部自传体作品(杨绛《干校六记》、张戎《鸿》)为例,分析20世纪八九十年代改革开放的过程中,当代中国书写如何利用(文化)翻译和自传体裁走进英语世界。焦点放在这个过程中五个方面的主体角色——(女性)作家、(官方)出版社、(文化)译者、评论者、(英语)读者——如何形成共生共谋的关系。
In the 1980s, at the beginning of the reform and opening up, female writing took the lead in becoming a representative, setting up a bridge in the English-speaking world and attracting Western readers to China. The social memory of female writing, which is attached to the Chinese culture, is also closely related to the social memory of the West’s typical image of China (“her sexuality”). Putting women, writing, translating, publishing and reading together makes it easy to see the inter-temporal, cross-cultural and cross-cultural interaction of texts and networks, forming collective subconsciousness and social and cultural memories, directly understanding the inheritance of contemporary China and traditional culture, As well as its connection with the English-speaking world, to provide specific clues. The theoretical framework of memory studies can provide a new direction for transcultural research in the fields of transcribing genres, intertextuality, gender and memory, and helping us to break the translation is the comparison between the original and the translated versions One-way thinking. This article attempts to take the context of cultural memory and translation studies (Wang Jian 2012; Luo Xuanmin 20141) as an example to select the anthologies of contemporary female writers translators and two autobiographical works (Yang Jiang’s “Six Books of Cadres” and Zhang Hong) In the 1980s and 1990s in the process of reform and opening up, how did contemporary Chinese writing use the (cultural) translation and autobiographical genres into the English-speaking world? Focus on the five main actors in this process - writers, (official) publishers, (cultural) translators, commentators, and (English) readers - how to form symbiotic relationships.
