There are quite a few state-owned forestry production units on the “Three Norths” wind sand line, or called forest farms or sand control stations. The names are not all the same but their basic tasks are generally the same. That is, they use state investment to create shelterbelts. Instead of demanding them to rigorously build timber production bases, the state hopes that they will make their contribution in building the ecological barrier in the north of our country. These units used to contribute to the development of forestry, demonstration of the masses, introduction of advanced technologies and increase of forest cover ratio. However, there are many problems at present such as:
