Traditional Rwandan medicine treats hepatitis, skin diseases and worms with the leaves of Hypoestes triflora (HT). This article reports the hepatoprotective effects of its extracts. Effect on the sleep time of pentobarbital sodium. The mice were given ip 40 mg/kg of sodium pentobarbital, and the time between the onset of disappearance of the righting reflex and the beginning of recovery was used as the sleep time.
