黄镇丰的声音条件比较好,1989年,他如愿以偿考入广东星海音乐学院声乐系,成了一名“准歌星”。凭着超群的乐感和勤奋,他成了系里的高材生。学校安排他和几个同学到上海音乐学院交流,有意让他毕业留校任教。毕业前夕,演艺圈一位师兄的遭遇使黄镇丰从明星梦中猛然惊醒。这位师兄因与人竞争一首歌的首唱权,竟遭遇了家被烧毁、父母被烧死的厄运。于是,生性内向的他果断离开钟爱的歌唱事业。1993年,在人们普遍向往毕业后进机关进单位抱个“金饭碗”、“铁饭碗”的时候,黄镇丰却跳进了商海。
