贫血症在小儿常见,有关调查颇多,但缺乏海岛渔民儿童7~14岁组有关资料。故1991年10月对海南省陵水县新村渔民小学在校学生466名进行检查。经过血红蛋白测定(氰化高铁法)。血清铁蛋白测定(酶标法)及血红蛋白电泳(CAM)法检查。发现贫血者(Hb<120g/L)171名,贫血患病率为36.4%,铁缺乏者(SF<20ng/ml)53人,占受检人数11.4%。并发现5例血红蛋白异常,分别为β地中海贫血2例,HbE2例,Hbjl例。本组贫血率与本省比较,高于陈氏报道的汉族学龄前儿童(27.4%)及刘氏报道的黎族学龄前儿童(28.3%)。经善食调查发现新村渔民子女饮食单调,动物蛋白主要来源是鱼干或鲜鱼,其它肉类及青菜进食
