The great theoretical physicist Stephen William Hawking was born on January 8, 1942 in Oxford, England. It happened to be the 300th anniversary of the death of the great scientist Galileo. Hawking is currently a professor of mathematics at Lucas, University of Cambridge in the UK. He is the authoritative contemporary author of gravitational physics. His main contribution is the Hawking radiation mechanism of black holes and the idea of a boundaryless creation of the universe.
