High school education is between compulsory education and higher education, which is an advanced stage of students 'basic stage and a preparatory stage of students' advancement to higher professional education. School education in high school shoulders the dual responsibility of academic training and personality shaping, and always faces such dilemmas as mass and elite, foundation and diversion, and has become a period in which education in the world universally recognizes difficulties in running schools. Through the investigation of the local public high schools in the United States, the author thinks there are many advantages in American high school education to draw on for reference: First, the institutional arrangements for education enable students to achieve continuous development; secondly, the hierarchical and disaggregated educational model enables students to obtain individualized development; University admission is a multi-evaluation mechanism to guide students to achieve all-round development. Thanks to its academic preparation and full personality preparation, basic education in the United States has won its competitive advantage by relying on senior secondary education for four years and has maintained its position in higher education and gradually expanded its advantages.
