The United Kingdom has developed a new specification to establish the relationship between doctors and pharmaceutical companies in the hospital, which was reflected in a recent article published by the Royal Institute of Physicians of the United Kingdom. This specification was first formulated in 1986. The new specification elaborates on the current state of the college, including conferences, gifts, funds, research, affirmation of interests, and doctors acting as corporate consultants. The new specification expands the coverage of all biopharmaceutical companies, including drug companies.
