河源市是广东省的沿海欠发达地区。1988年3月建市,下辖五县一城区,主要是山区、农业区,资源丰富。又依傍东江,毗邻珠江三角洲。京九、广梅汕两条铁路和河(源)惠(阳)高速公路将贯通该市。该市已被列为沿海开放城市,并建立了口岸海关。可以说,该市已成为广东沿江、沿海与山区的结合部,内地经济锲入粤港的桥头堡。
Heyuan City, Guangdong Province, less developed coastal areas. City was established in March 1988, under the jurisdiction of five counties and one city, mainly mountainous, agricultural areas, rich in resources. Again along the East River, adjacent to the Pearl River Delta. Beijing-Kowloon, Guang-Mei-Shan two railway and river (source) Hui (Yang) Expressway will run through the city. The city has been listed as a coastal open city, and the establishment of a port customs. It can be said that the city has become a bridgehead along the Yangtze River in Guangdong, a coastal area and a mountainous area, and a mainland economic hub into Guangdong and Hong Kong.
