学界一般认为王船山对明代格调派的复古模拟持批评态度并将其视为格调派诗学的对立面。细察可知,他们并非扞格冲突、形同冰炭的对立存在,贯穿明代三百年的格调派诗学对王船山实有不容忽略的深远影响。船山接受了格调派以体格、声调论诗的诗学传统,于唐诗观也基本与格调派崇唐抑宋的典范选择保持一致。船山诗学的复杂性决定了我们应打破二元对立的简单思维模式,以更宽阔的眼光、更包容的态度去理解其诗学的多维内涵、丰富层面。
