减肥是现代社会人们追求健康和美体的重要手段之一。现今社会,物质文明进步、生活水平提高和饮食结构的改善,人们饮食过多、活动过少,肥胖者日见增多。据有关调查发现:目前我国肥胖症发病率大约是10%,心脏病患者中肥胖者是正常人的2.5倍,高血压患者是正常人的3倍。在糖尿病和动脉硬化的病人中每4个人中就有3个肥胖者。肥胖者寿命平均比正常人少5年。肥胖与癌症发病率呈正相关关系,主要表现在乳腺癌、卵巢癌和消化道癌症方面。由此可见,运动锻炼不仅在减肥方面有着积极价值,而且通过减肥过程对防治其它非传染性疾病也发挥着重要作用。减肥固然重要,但需要科学方法指导,否则,易发生减肥失败或减肥过快对身体造成不良影响。运动是防治肥胖症的简便易行、经济可靠的良好方法。
