武川县五家村林场一九七五年对十年生杨树“小老树”用北京杨0001号萌芽条为接穗,进行劈接改造获得成功。劈接改造后的杨树生长速度快,据一九七八年九月十日调查,平均树高十二公尺,比未劈接的高一公尺多,平均胸径九公分,比原来的粗二公分。初步观察,这个新品种当年叶形似北京杨;叶缘呈波纹状,三年后叶片似青杨;杆皮青绿色,光滑细致,十分美观。具有耐干旱、抗病虫、生长快、干形直、发芽迟、封顶早、落叶早的特点。
