在近年高考化学试题中,为了突出对学生能力的考查,出现了新题型“信息给予题”。所谓信息给予题就是设计出平常教与学中未见过的情景,在题目中给出新的知识,再联系已学过的知识,把新旧知识按内在联系统摄成规律,并运用这些规律去解答的一类题目。这类题目对抑制“题海战术”,真实公平地考查学生能力,特别是潜在的学习能力,发挥了很好的作用。信息给予题在近年高考题中,90年占16分,91年占24分,92年占32分,93年占34分,分值逐年看涨。
