Huadian Laizhou Power Generation Co., Ltd. was established in 2010 by a joint venture of Huadian Power International Corporation and Shandong International Trust Co., Ltd. It is the first large-scale power generation company to start with a million units in the group company. The first phase of the thermal power project with a total investment of 7.42 billion yuan was started on March 20, 2010 in full swing. The two units were put into operation in November and December 2012 respectively. Two 2 × 1000MW project has been included in Shandong Province, “Twelve-Five” energy development plan.
