聚甲醛(POM)分为两大类:一类是三聚甲醛或甲醛的均聚体,称为均聚甲醛,另一类是三聚甲醛与少量戊环的共聚体,称为共聚甲醛。聚甲醛是重要的通用型热塑性工程塑料,其生产能力仅次于聚酰胺和聚碳酸酯居第三位。聚甲醛具有相对密度低、良好的抗冲强度和动力疲劳强度及耐磨、耐腐蚀、自润滑和电性能优异,且透气和透水蒸气性较低等特点。用聚甲醛制成的齿轮、按钮、水表、阀门、泵的叶轮、喷灌器部件、拉链等制品,广泛用于汽车、电子电气、工业器械、农业和消费品等领域。
Polyoxymethylene (POM) is divided into two categories: one is the homopolymer of paraformaldehyde or formaldehyde, known as paraformaldehyde, and the other is a trimer of paraformaldehyde and a small amount of pentacyclic copolymer called paraformaldehyde. Polyoxymethylene is an important all-purpose thermoplastic engineering plastic, third only to polyamide and polycarbonate in terms of production capacity. POM has the characteristics of low relative density, good impact strength and dynamic fatigue strength, abrasion resistance, corrosion resistance, excellent self-lubrication and electrical properties, and low permeability to vapor and water vapor. Products made of polyacetal, such as gears, buttons, water meters, valves, pump impellers, sprinkler parts and zippers, are widely used in the fields of automobiles, electrical and electronics, industrial equipment, agriculture and consumer products.
