用中西医结合方法治疗交感性眼炎２０例中眼外伤引起者１６例，白内障术后发病者４例。潜伏期最短２周，最长５８年。西药治疗以皮质类固醇激素为主，中药治疗根据辨证。在炎症期以清肝泻大、利水明目为治则，自拟清肝汤加减口服。在炎症控制后给予补益肝肾明目之剂。２０例患者中除２例住院时间短（７～１１天）未能观察外，其余１８例均治愈。对这１８例随访３～１０年，８例复发，复发１次者３人，复发３次或３次以上者５人。对复发者给予上述治疗，仍获治愈，且无明显并发症出现。中西医结合治疗交感性眼炎可有效地控制炎症，减轻或消除激素的副作用，后期又可补养正气，调节机体免疫功能，避免激素的长期应用，对防止和减少复发效果满意。
