A number of studies have shown that 5-aminolevulinic acid (ALA) induces fluorescence in malignant and dysplastic bladder tissues, resulting in an approximately 20% increase in tumor detection. However, little is known about the long-term benefits of research. The authors conducted a prospective, randomized study of transurethral resection (TUR) and ALA fluorescence-assisted TUR in standard white light to assess 5-year follow-up results. One hundred and fifteen cases of superficial bladder tumor were randomly divided into standard T (?) R group and ALA supplementation
