作者认为：人是我国社会主义精神文明建设的核心，精神文明建设应围绕提高人的综合素质而展开．这是现实社会文明建设的自身要求，也是人性完善的需要．与以往相比，当今市场经济条件下的精神文明建设具有更高的要求．从个体人的培养到全民族整体素质的提高，是一项长期艰巨的任务。因此，精神文明建设必须和社会主义市场经济建设接轨．从重形式转为重内容，把精神文明建设溶入经济建设，并把精神文明建设的范围从单纯的精神领域拓展到物质文明领域，在物质文明的创造中寻找人类完善自我的原动力。
The author thinks: Man is the core of the construction of socialist spiritual civilization in our country. The construction of spiritual civilization should focus on improving the overall quality of man. This is the self-requirement of the construction of social reality in reality and also the need of perfect human nature. Compared with the past, the construction of spiritual civilization in today’s market economy has higher requirements. From the training of individual individuals to the improvement of the overall quality of the entire nation, it is a long-arduous and arduous task. Therefore, the construction of spiritual civilization must be in line with the socialist market economy. From heavy form to heavy content, the construction of spiritual civilization is integrated into economic construction, and the scope of spiritual civilization construction is expanded from the purely spiritual field to the field of material civilization. In the creation of material civilization, it is to find the driving force for human self-improvement.
