Studying the amount of litter and its relationship with soil nutrients is an important part of forest ecology. In this study, we studied the Larix kaempferi plantation (age 9, 12, 18, 25, 30 years) in different ages in Xiaolongshan, Gansu Province to study the physical and chemical properties of Larix kaempferi plantation The characteristics of litter and soil physical and chemical properties. The results showed that the annual litterfall litterfall and the existing litter showed an increasing trend with the increase of forest age. The litterfall ranged from 2.97 to 5.96 t / hm2 in 9-30 years, and the existing stocks ranged from 9.86-17.71 t / hm2, litter decomposition rate increased with age, showing an increasing trend. The Larix kaempferi plantation increased with the increase of forest age. The content of soil organic matter and total nitrogen increased at first and then decreased. The difference of total phosphorus and potassium was not significant. The soil moisture increased from acidity to alkalescence. The litterfall and its existing amount and its decomposition rate in Japanese Larch forest were negatively correlated with soil bulk density, and were positively correlated with soil organic matter, total nitrogen, total potassium, total phosphorus, p H and field water holding capacity.
