今年上半年,湖南科技出版社发行科和开发部的同志们在副社长蔡培根同志带领下,到了本省的长沙、湘潭、株洲、衡阳、常德、岳阳、益阳、娄底、湘西、大庸、怀化等十一个地县调查,并与几十个县新华书店的经理和业务员进行座谈,大家普遍感到农村图书发行有喜有忧,而忧多于喜。喜的是邓小平同志的科学技术是第一生产力的思想深入农村,农民商品意识不断增强,发家致富思想深入人心。去年以来,特别是今年上半年,有三种“特种”丛书好销:特种养殖技术丛书、特种种植技术丛书和特种工艺技术丛书。据调查反映,今年上半年,其他图书的销售普遍下降,唯有科技读物销售上升。湘潭市新华书店一季度图书销售下降30万码洋,然而科技图书销售却上升了5万码洋。湖南科技出版
