长治刀具厂是山西海鸥锯业集团的紧密型成员企业之一,现有职工140多名,主要从事各种建筑五金工具及各种工业、民用刀具系列产品的生产。近年来,在集团的直接领导扶持下,紧紧以集团核心企业——太行锯条厂为依托,抓住机遇发展壮大自己,积极开发上马泥抹、大铲、瓦刀等建筑工具,使企业不断换发出勃勃生机,生产呈现成倍增长的势头。予计1994年建筑工具的年产量可完成40余万把,年产值予计达到200多万元,跻身全国建筑五金工具生产大厂的行列。
