This article describes the process and results of a pilot study to find blind ore bodies using mercury measurements in a polymetallic mining area. Nine test sections were made on known deposits with significant mercury anomalies on the upper or leading edge of the vein. A total of 29 abnormities of mercury were surveyed in the region at a scale of 1: 5 thousand. A total of 29 anomalies were excavated in the area, and drilling was used to verify some of the anomalies. Ore bodies were found at predetermined sites.
