回族经堂语,顾名思义,是回族经堂教育中所使用的一种语言。因为经堂语并不脱离于汉语,而只是一种在汉语基础上形成并通行于回族宗教教育中的语言。所以,在语言学的学科分支中,它应该归属于社会语言学,经堂语的语意内涵也应该是汉语言的变体——回族经堂社会语言。 作为汉语言的一种变体,回族经堂语首先给汉语言学的研究增添了新的内容,由于其宗教语言的性质,也可以把它和其它回教化语言进行比较研究,无疑,这将会给普通语言学理论增添新的材料。
