英语是当今世界上主要的国际通用语言之一,也是世界上最广泛使用的语言。目前,许多国家在基础教育发展战略中,都把英语教育作为公民素质教育的重要组成部分,并将其摆在突出的地位。随着我国对外开放的不断扩大,科学技术的不断进步,国际地位的不断提高,迫切需要造就一大批精通外语的专门人才来加速我国的现代化进程,使我国在国际事务中发挥更大更积极的作用。
English is one of the major international languages in the world today and the most widely used language in the world. At present, in many countries’ basic education development strategies, English education is regarded as an important component of citizen’s quality education and put it in a prominent position. With the continuous expansion of China’s opening up to the outside world, the continuous improvement of science and technology and the continuous improvement of its international status, it is urgent to create a large number of specialized personnel proficient in foreign languages to speed up the process of modernization in our country and to make our country play a bigger and more active part in international affairs effect.
