Li Rui’s “Record of Lushan Meeting” (hereinafter referred to as “Record”), with his personal experience, has always made a very accurate account of the present tense of the 1959 Lushan Conference. Both Chinese and foreign scholars have regarded it as a letter history. 11 years ago, I was excited with the initial read of the book’s internal distribution (Spring and Autumn Publishing House, Hunan Education Press, 1989 edition), mainly because in 1959 he has also been woven into the local Sin, rather think of the central meeting
