People are aware of the benefits of breathing fresh air and enjoying the beauty of the landscape, and a recent study by researchers at the University of Pittsburgh found that walking can also make human brain cells grow. They found that having a vibrant walk three times a week can increase the size of the memory center “hippocampus”. The hippocampus is the brain area that Alzheimer’s disease first destroyed. The researchers tested 120 men and women 55 to 80 years of age who were to walk three times a week for 40 minutes each. Normally, the brain shrinks with age. However, according to the annual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science announced
