陇谷六号是省农科院粮作所首次杂交选育而成的优质谷子新品种。该品种选育成功,填补了我省长期无优质谷子良种的空白。一九九三年八月在会宁通过省级技术鉴定验收;一九九四年经省农作物品种审定委员会审定定名;同年十二月参加全国第三次食用粟品质检测鉴评,经食味品质、营养品质和理化指标三方面综合评定,被评为国家一级优质米。 陇谷六号谷子新品种是用陇谷三号作母本,芍身齐作父本杂交,经多年选育而成。该品种生长势强,丰产性好,生育期适中,适应性广,抗旱性突出,粮草兼丰,品质优良。
