本文认为，战后的德国能在较短的时间内克服战争所带来的精神上、物质上的大混乱，取得举世瞩目的经济成就，其中一个非常重要的因素就是战后实行了“社会市场经济”模式。社会市场经济模式的主要特点是：（１）保护竞争，充分发挥市场机制作用；（２）完善的社会保障制度；（３）保持适度的政府干预。作者指出，研究德国组织市场经济方面的成功经验，对我国社会主义市场经济体制的建立有一定的借鉴意义
