This article reports the effects of iodized salt prevention and control on intelligence in children with iodine deficiency. The intelligence tests of 231 school-age children aged 7-13 years in ward and non-ward showed that there was a significant difference in the average IQ of children born before and after iodized salt and those with mental retardation, while the non-ward There was no significant difference in IQ of children born at the corresponding time.
