中国科技大学生物系龚立三副教授在美国从事基因工程研究,组建了具有宿主广谱的调渗质粒,创造了具有固氮作用并能抗高盐的二重组体基因工程生物。这两项成果得到美国同行学者很高的评价,组建的质粒和二重组体均以龚的姓名命名。这两项成果宣布后,有的国家派人到美国加州大学要以高价购买,龚立三所在实验室的教授也要求与他一起在美申请专利。但是龚立三不忘祖国的利益,婉言谢绝,于去年八月将成果带回国内继续进行研究。
Professor Gong Lisan, Department of Biology, University of Science and Technology of China, engaged in genetic engineering research in the United States to establish a host-spectrum osmotic plasmid and to create a dual recombinant genetic engineering organism with nitrogen fixation and high salt tolerance. These two results have been highly praised by American counterparts. The plasmids and recombinants were all named after Gong. After the announcement of these two achievements, some countries sent to the University of California to buy at high prices, and Gong Li-three’s lab professors also asked him to apply for a patent in the United States. However, Gong Li-third did not forget the interests of the motherland, declined politely, and returned the results to China in August last year to continue his research.
