阿勒泰地区是多民族多宗教的边境地区,宗教事务管理在整个地区的社会管理中占有重要的地位,有着理论和实践意义。改革开放以来,阿勒泰地区依法管理宗教事务,大力进行管理创新、体制创新、政策创新,保证了宗教管理事务的健康发展,实现了地区的稳定和谐。针对新世纪出现的新情况、新变化、新问题,阿勒泰地区宗教事务管理要继续坚持走人性化管理的道路,形成依法管理、社会管理、民主管理、自主管理“四位一体”的管理模式,依据宗教自身规律实现宗教事务管理的良性运行。
