2013年大学英语四级改革,140字段落翻译的出现体现了对高校学生大学英语综合能力运用的要求,与此同时,新题型的翻译考试对学生的考试提出了新的要求,对老师的教学提出了新的挑战。作者首先分析了目前非英语专业学生英语翻译能力现状,结合翻译新题型的特点探讨了段落翻译的实质。旨在使广大的老师和考生更加熟悉大学英语四级翻译考题,提高学生的英语综合运用能力。
In 2013, the emergence of the four-level reform of college English and the translation of 140-word paragraphs reflected the requirements for college students ’comprehensive ability of college English. At the same time, the new-type translation test put forward new requirements for the students’ examination. Teaching posed new challenges. The author first analyzes the present situation of English translating ability of non-English majors and discusses the essence of paragraph translating in light of the characteristics of the new translation type. Designed to make the majority of teachers and candidates are more familiar with the University English four translation exam, improve students’ ability to use English comprehensively.
