There are not many breakthroughs in finding earthquakes for coal mining in the red cover areas in southern provinces. Over the past few years, we covered the area with red beds in Jiangxi Province and made some general surveys and coal prospecting work using seismic methods. We have obtained some experiences and introduced the following: 1. Geological characteristics covered by red beds Surfaces are generally hilly areas or plain rice areas. Ups and downs. Quaternary cover thin, great changes in thickness. At the bottom of the red layer, there are gravel layers with varying thickness, so the geological conditions of deep earthquakes vary greatly. Fracture development, structure
