女性一生中具有生育功能的时间平均为20～30年,去除孕育一个孩子所需的1～2年时间,那么其余的时间都需要采取避孕措施。可供女性选择的避孕措施有很多种,如药物避孕、工具避孕、放置节育环、安全期避孕、绝育手术等,其中最常用的还是放置宫内绝育环。因为宫内放置绝育环适用范围广,副作用小,有效率较高,放置时间长。但绝育环不能终生放置,必须在绝经后的一定期限内取出,否则将引起身体的其他疾病。
