RTSi-5.5 heat-resistant cast iron because of melting and casting process is simple, low cost, and the vast majority of the matrix structure of ferrite plus flake graphite, high critical temperature, has good oxidation resistance. Therefore, from the 1930s, it has been widely applied in the world. The matrix of this cast iron melts a large amount of supersaturated silicon and the wire shrinks more. Not only is it low in strength, it tends to be brittle, but it is also quite sensitive to the effects of shock and temperature gradients. However, this brittleness has a great relationship with the chemical composition. Reasonable chemical composition will reduce its brittleness. To this end, we studied the RTSi-5.5 heat-resistant cast iron in different components of the mechanical properties.
