September 22, is the annual “World Car-Free Day.” This year, China’s car-free theme is “green traffic, fresh air ”. According to the website of People’s Daily Online, on the very day, people from all over the country were actively involved in relevant activities. Various local governments took a number of measures to cope with people’s green travel, including defining a car-free zone, opening up free public transportation, and extending the subway running time. Of course, the enthusiasm of the masses for environmental protection is encouraged. However, it is obviously not enough for this day’s efforts to truly solve the problem. Modern traffic travel, people’s dependence on the car is getting higher and higher, with the consequent car pollution and damage to the environment is increasingly serious emissions. Beijing, Tianjin and other regions in recent years continue to upgrade or even burst the PM2.5 index is the best evidence. So, how to find a balance between convenient travel and environmental protection? Perhaps the recent acquisition of new energy vehicles supported by a series of national policies is an ideal solution.
