The Library at the Crossroads is the result of a Pew Research investigation into the role of the U.S. Public Library in public and community activities in the United States. The report publishes data on public library services: characteristics of the population using the library, the frequency of use, the use of library websites or mobile apps, the public’s activity in the library, the availability of e-books, etc. Based on the analysis of the status and influence of the public libraries in the United States, and the public think that libraries should provide social services, which provides a useful reference for the future development of public library services in the United States.
