我国古代就有回避制度。在发展社会主义市场经济的今天，古代回避制度的经验对于干部制度建设和廉政建设具有一定的启示：通过社会经济的全面发展铲除腐败的生存条件，通过回避制度与其他制度的配套建设使领导干部对腐败行为“不敢为”、“不能为”和“不愿为”。
