这里是奥运圣火在郑州传递的终点,但这座城市走上国际化道路的梦想却在这里刚刚开启。郑州,这座上个世纪初期还被称为县城的古老而又年轻的省会城市,在经历了多年的发展之后终于要蜕变新生了。2001年12月16日,设计大师黑川纪章关于郑东新区的设计方案被选中,图纸上的郑东新区向世人展示着新世纪中国第一人口大省省会城市的绚丽前景。大约20年前,每逢春暖花开,郑州的市民们骑着自行车来到107国道以东,只要看不到喧嚣的闹市就算是一次郊游。时至今日,同样的地方又被郑州人当作谈资与外乡人津津乐道。这块儿被称作“郑东新区”的地方,如今已经成了当地人展示家乡形象的名片。
