Nicolas Poussin (1594-1665) is widely recognized as the founder of French classical painting. His works embody the understanding of rationality and the esteem of “paradigm ” and philosophy. Its representative work, “Arkadia’s Shepherd,” 1 has its own uniqueness with its mysterious and obscure content, rigorous composition and simple color. This article will focus on “Arcadia’s herdsman” one of Pusan’s classical art concept to explore.
