档案材料、文件材料、文書材料这三个术語,不但界限不明确,且生硬难懂,在实际工作中,有时感觉用那一个也合适。现在提出个人的看法,和同志們討論。大家对这三个术語的認識很不一致,因此用起来也不統一。例如“国家机关一般档案材料保管期限参考表”“中华人民共和国各部及其他机关、团体、企業活动中所形成的标准文件材料保管期限表(初稿)”“江苏省人民委員会文件材料保管期限表(初稿)”。这三个标题中的“档案材料”“文件材料”彷彿在实質上沒有区别,似乎可以都用“档案材料”一詞。文書材料、档案材料、文件材料也是分不清的,个人意见是,档案不仅限于文件,而且还有别的,文件不如档案广泛,文件材料这个术語在一定意义上講只能是档

Document material, archival materials, documents and materials are also indistinguishable, personal opinion is that the file is not limited to the file, but also other than the file as a wide range of files, the term file in a sense can only be a file
