The optimum conditions for preparation of long-acting urea-formaldehyde fertilizer are discussed. That is, the reaction mole ratio of urea to formaldehyde is 1: 4: 1, the hydroxymethylation reaction conditions are pH = 8.0, temperature 50 ° C, and time 120 minutes; the methylation reaction conditions are pH = 3.5, temperature 50 ° C, 90 minutes.
