新中国成立以来,党中央、国务院高度重视信访工作,把信访工作作为听取群众意见、体察群众疾苦、接受群众监督的重要渠道,作为政权建设的重要组成部分,从政治和全局的高度对做好信访工作提出明确要求,作出一系列决策部署。信访工作在创新发展中走过了不平凡的历程,为切实维护群众合法权益、及时反映社情民意、着力促进社会和谐发挥了重要作用。
