该炉炉衬原采用块状耐火材料砌筑,结构整体性差,损毁快,一般只能使用3个月,为初轧生产一大薄弱环节。为解决这一问题,在3~#炉炉顶试用粘土结合高铝质浇注料,并在1~#、2~#初轧加热炉炉顶推广应用。该炉顶设计成模型吊挂式,采用现场浇注成型。炉顶内表面为粘土结合高铝质浇注料,内中层为轻质粘土砖,外中层为硅酸铝耐火纤维毡,外层为水泥膨胀珍珠岩预制
