自学考试作为我国高等教育的重要制度和教育形式,面对远程教育和网络教育的兴起,普通高校、成人高校大幅扩招,以及加入 WTO 后外国教育和考试机构逐步进入的新形势,只有增强自身适应能力,才能增强在未来社会中的生存能力,增强可持续发展的生命力。因此,在新的历史形势下,加强对自学考试适应能力的研究与开发,对自学考试的生存与发展至关重要。
