研究儿童疾病防治和保健有儿科学、研究老人疾病防治和保健有老年病学。此外,妇产科学和男性病学分别研究女子和男子的毛病,可谓男女老少均己成立于医学的专科,编成了教科书,作为医学院校学生授课的内容。可是至今尚缺欠的是没有“中年病学”或“青年病学”这两门学科,被医学界作为专题来研究。
