In the past few years, we attached great importance to how to strengthen students’ ideological education in the new historical period in Shanghai’s Second Normal School. They have conducted serious thinking and active exploration. Our main approach is to rely on the power of social education to play the role of education base while grasping school education. (1) Establishing a Base We have learned in practice that actively seeking and relying on the forces of social education, establishing off-campus education bases and giving play to the educational role of bases are good ways to strengthen moral education.
